John McCain Gets Owned on Meet The Press (via dingoboy66)Oh Russert, you and your “gotcha questions.”
THIS IS PRETTY SATISFYING
Russert was one of a kind.
I caught a handbell concert by a group called the Ministry of Bellz at the Esplanade today. They were really awesome. Are there groups that just play cowbells too? Cause that would be cool. Anyways, check out an old performance of theirs I found.
Now, that Biden/Palin debate was just enthralling. That’s how you fucking debate. Biden wins me over in ways Obama really can’t. The ticket should be reversed. But gosh darn tootin’, Palin saying things like “dog gone it” is just so adorable.
Hayley thinks talking to lizards will make them go away. Big scary giant lizards. Didn’t work FYI. She drew me a vagina vending machine the other day too. For decency’s sake, I’ll refrain from showing people that.
I was looking through Captain Planet’s wikipedia page today (don’t ask why) and I found out some really interesting things.
-Also at 16 years old, Gi is a self-proclaimed marine biologist. LOL “self-proclaimed.”
-The episode titled “A Formula For Hate” (1992) was unique for the series in that it did not deal with environmental pollution or destruction [1]. It was also the first episode in an American children’s animated series to directly deal with the AIDS-HIV pandemic. In the episode, Verminous Skumm brainwashes a local community into thinking the virus can be spread through casual contact, and thus causing people to hate and fear a young man, infected with HIV, named Todd (Neil Patrick Harris) [2]. Todd’s mother was played by actress Elizabeth Taylor, who has raised money for AIDS charities. Wow, this is actually pretty cool. Plus, NPH!
-Writer Michael Reaves reimagined the Captain Planet concept in a script he wrote for a theatrical movie in 1997, entitled “Dark Planet.” It was darker than the series, and was set in a post-apocalyptic time period. The script was met with acceptance, but “got lost in the shuffle when Turner and Warner Bros. merged.
-Duke Nukem - A radioactive mutant who represents the evils of nuclear power. Does anybody know which Duke Nukem came first, the game character or the cartoon character?
-They had a super impressive list of celebrity guest-stars! From Meg Ryan to Martin Sheen, apparently lots of actors wanted to be green before it was cool.
The motherfuckin’ Iceman was on this week’s True Blood! I’m not sure if it was just due to residual Alexander Skarsgård awesomeness, but tonight’s True Blood was amazing. And also, this poster in that vampire bar was hilarious.
Coolest thing ever: I have to analyze Joss Whedon’s awesome Equality Now speech for a class assignment. I mean literally, this speech was listed in my notes as required viewing for everyone. Now excuse me while I geek out and write way over my word limit for this thing.
Shugo Tokumaru - Parachute

Someone help me find Shugo Tokumaru’s new album ‘Exit’ please?
I started smoking regularly again. Ugh! I couldn’t care less about the health effects, I just cannot afford to be wasting money on cigarrettes again with my finances this fucked. You’d think my $200 fine a while back would have thougth me a lesson right, but noooo. And in case you didn’t know, the prices for smokes in my country are like 12 bucks per pack. Absolutely ridiculous. Someone help me quit!
