Pixar can do no wrong. As high as Pixar have set their standards, they continually soar above (obligatory pun) them every summer. Up made me laugh and yeah I even cried a little. The only other time I remember tearing during animated movies was the The Iron Giant and of course, the beautifully poignant Grave of the Fireflies. The only downside was that the animated short that accompanied Up (Partly Cloudy) was a little weaker than the ones they’ve done in the past. The ones that accompanied  Ratatouille (Lifted) and Wall-E (Presto) are my favourites.
