Like a short fused cherry bomb, The Runaways is quick, abrupt and filthily fun - just like one of their songs. I was fairly wary of the Twilight duo of Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart heading into the show but I must say, they did Currie and Jett justice. Fanning is just phenomenal. Stewart is well, Stewart, but at least Jett’s personality meshes with her own so it wasn’t too much of a stretch. The girls fared much better than their sparkly douchebag comrade Robert Pattinson in How To Be. It’s not entirely Pattinson’s fault though, everything about that movie is just utter shit. I’ve never seen a film more pretentiously soporific. At just 87 minutes, How To Be is 86 minutes longer than it should be.
