You may call Mother and Child a chick flick, but that would be unfair. It’s just a deftly authentic film about women and motherhood. Mommy issues can be just as traumatic as daddy issues I suppose. Aptly timed to release around Mother’s Day, this Rodrigo García (In Treatment) written/directed character study is depressing but a good watch with your mom.
